My name is Arthur Yanthar. I’m a cinephile who has seen over 9,000 films. I’m a returning student for Film Studies, seeking to be an academic, or at least in an adjacent field. I’m also the co-host of The Talking Images podcast.
I always found that various niches and genres get overlooked. This is especially apparent in film studies with both the students and professors being naïve either through only caring for blockbusters, or arthouse films, thus completely brushing off one segment of cinema. They also seem to not take many b-movies seriously, which I find baffling as those films tend to have the most to say in all of cinema, even through just a historical context.
This blog will be my ramblings. Essays on what I think of certain films to help provide a new outlook on them, or thematic lists. I hope you will find at least some of them to be informative, if not amusing.
